Syringe hanging out

lame title is lame.
anyways, hopefully his design rings a bell. Syringe here is the 2.0 version of my old arachne character, Tracks. once again i would like to point out that he is not a drider, nor any other kind of elf-based being, though his kind do have an odd connection to the wood elves in my story.
Syringe is a male aranche, meaning that a female would stand about two heads taller than him, albeit partially because she would position her legs in a different manner. he's also a warlock (hence the black magic ball), like Tracks, and also like my older arachne, he typically carries a scythe around, though i was too lazy to draw it here. in the story, the main characters save him from his species’ lethal mating rituals, after which point he leads them partway to the Marble City of the high elves. like most aranche, he’s covered in a rock-hard but somewhat flexible shell that only the keenest blades can pierce. he’s got somewhat of a femme-phobia though, a common trait in male arachne.
this was just a little sketch i drew on the back of my grade print-out sheet for Algebra II. i didn't have any intention of putting it on dA, but i hadn't updated in a little while, and i like how the little guy turned out, so i figured "Why not?"
he's chibi here, bytheway, as he's normally less kid-like in appearance. the drawing is somewhat important to me because i liked how i was able to draw him on a cave's ceiling. not all that great a job, but hey--it was my first attempt, and i like how it came out.
